Privacy policy

This policy explains how Alexander Thomas Hunter ("we", "us") handles information in the Unwind iPhone app (the "App") and on this website at https://unwind.love (the "Website").

The short version: the App doesn't collect any personal information. Everything you do in it stays on your device.

1. The App

Unwind has no accounts and doesn't connect to our servers. Your routines, session history, streaks, "how do you feel" check-ins and settings such as bedtime mode are stored only on your iPhone. We can't see, access or recover them.

Your data is included in your iPhone backups (iCloud or computer) under Apple's own terms. Deleting the App removes its data from your device.

2. Information from Apple

If you choose to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone's settings, Apple may give us aggregated, anonymised crash reports and usage statistics. These don't identify you. You can turn this off at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.

Downloads, and any purchases, are handled by Apple through the App Store. Apple doesn't share your payment details with us. See Apple's privacy policy for how Apple handles your information.

3. The Website

The Website doesn't use analytics, advertising or tracking, and doesn't set cookies. It is hosted by Vercel, which processes standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) to deliver the Website and protect it from abuse. See our cookie policy.

4. Contacting us

If you email us, we use your email address and message only to reply to you, and delete them when they're no longer needed.

5. Sharing and selling

We don't sell, rent or share personal information, because we don't collect any beyond the emails you send us.

6. Children

The App is suitable for general audiences and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under the Australian Privacy Principles and the GDPR, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you. In practice, the only information we could hold is an email you sent us. To make a request, email support@unwind.love.

8. Changes to this policy

If we change how the App or Website handles information, for example by adding optional accounts or syncing, we'll update this policy and the date above before the change takes effect.
